Previously at the Vaults… We created a playful playground for grownups on the eve of their Christmas party. Inspired by the way we wish London was, this was an underground British romp through our imagination. Coming out of the cold into the windswept hallway, guests are greeted by our dishevelled mime enjoying the great British weather. Sight seekers could choose one of many routes through our wonky city scape. Maybe discovering a puppeteered Nelson, atop his column amongst the pigeons, chatting on a tin can telephone to
keep him company. You may find the colourful streets of Carnaby, complete with kooky shopkeepers, the drunken bar all tipsy with wine, or a flight of stairsleading to a host of dancing girls in laser costumes and a neon peep show in sordid Soho. Finally, in an ode to Mary Poppins, good time seekers could dance the night away on the rooftops of London, complete with smoking chimneys, a fat full moon and a projection mapped firework display. All hats off to our wonderful and dearly missed scenic artist, certified heavy-weight lifter and keeper of good cheer, Nicky Jones
